Membership Categories

     •  Employers - business, industry, non-profit, and government.

     •  Academic Institutions - universities with existing or planned PSM degree programs.
        The NPSMA offers special pricing for Academic System Memberships (minimum of six campus/institutions).

     •  Individuals - program directors, administrators, faculty, and program staff.

     •  Alumni - graduates or former students from PSM programs.  Note: membership is free for the first year to alumni
        of universities who hold a  membership to the NPSMA.

     •  Students - enrolled PSM students. Note: Membership is free for the first year to students of universities who hold a
        membership to the NPSMA. 

Benefits

The NPSMA promotes and supports PSM degree programs at colleges and universities by providing networking opportunities and the exchange of best practice guidelines. The NPSMA assists with the development and expansion of PSM degree programs and promotes student recruitment and enrollment efforts. The NPSMA engages universities, employers, nonprofit organizations, professional associations, and government agencies in an ongoing dialogue to improve the workforce preparedness of PSM graduates and to increase the recognition of the PSM degree.

The NPSMA serves as the focal point for the collective interaction of the nation's PSM degree programs with organizations that have a stake in graduate education in science, mathematics, and technology. The NPSMA initiates these exchanges by holding workshops and conferences, publishing research findings on PSM degree developments, sharing PSM policy developments, and, most importantly, connecting the various constituents of the PSM.

A Few Reasons to Join

     •  The NPSMA is the data clearinghouse for information on the PSM degree. We published the PSM Degree Programs
        Best Practices Survey Findings and the PSM Degree Program Enrollee and Graduate Report. We initiated the first ever
        Alumni Employment Survey and are compiling a Roster of PSM Employer Partners.

     •  We offer our members registration discounts to our valuable and well-attended National Conferences as well
        as our Best Practices workshops.

     •  Members are invited to support and network with other PSM colleagues virtually through our social media pages
        and bulletin board.

     •  For those who are unable to attend our events, we have been the source for information on the PSM through our
        popular website, newsletter, listserv, policy updates, and calls to action.

     •  We continue to represent the PSM degree programs with a unified brand that we employ when we represent you
         with employers,  policymakers, professional associations, or at career fairs and trade shows.
