The NPSMA supports PSM program development at participating universities through networking and the exchange of best practice guidelines. The NPSMA facilitates the establishment and expansion of PSM degrees offerings and promotes recruitment and enrollment efforts. The NPSMA engages universities, employers, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies in a collaborative dialogue to continually improve the workforce preparedness of PSM graduates and increase the visibility and recognition of PSM degrees.

The NPSMA serves as the focal point for collective interactions of the nation’s PSM programs with organizations that have a stake in graduate education in science, mathematics, and technology. Employers are encouraged to engage the PSM programs across the country in vigorous dialogue concerning workforce development issues.

The NPSMA facilitates those conversations by increasing visibility of the PSM programs and by establishing access for our employer partners to administrators and faculty in universities offering PSM programs. The NPSMA will coordinate efforts to communicate the exceptional value of PSM graduates and form vital alliances with the varied employments sectors that the programs serve.
