Call for Nominations: National Professional Science Master's Association (NPSMA)

2019 Board of Directors

July 30, 2018

About the Board. The National Professional Science Master’s Association (NPSMA) Board of Directors sets policy, determines strategic priorities, and provides oversight for the funding and operation of the association.

Members of the Board of Directors are expected to contribute to the overall mission of the NPSMA. All members are required to commit time for monthly Board conference calls (with potential for greater frequency, as needed), committee leadership and service, and attendance at one face-to-face Board meeting per year (held in conjunction with an NPSMA event). Board tasks and responsibilities may also include serving as an officer, researching new initiatives, or assisting with communications and outreach.

This year, the NPSMA is seeking up to three (3) individuals to fill vacancies on the Board of Directors for three-year terms beginning in January 2019. The Nominating Committee particularly encourages the nomination of current PSM degree program directors and of individuals with a systems wide perspective.

Nomination Procedures and Requirements

  1. NPSMA members are invited to nominate themselves or others to the Board of Directors. The nominator and the nominee must both have paid NPSMA membership dues in full, either through an academic or individual membership, by the time of nomination.
  2. The nomination package must consist of:
    • Cover letter, including:
o Name and affiliation of nominator
o Name and affiliation of nominee

o Curriculum Vitae of nominee (not to exceed three pages)

The Nominating Committee will begin to process the nominations as they are received.
